Anth might've had slightly too much red wine last night, and Bron was in shock over almost having a birthday.

The US Military have visited the Marinara website for the month. Collective noun of the week is a battery of barracuda, and a fleet or a shoal of bass

Anth has a picture of a polar bear trying to eat a nuclear submarine, that surfaced in the arctic on a exercise.

The trans tasman expedition looking for new creatures has found a while bunch of glow in the dark Collingwood (ie black and white) fish. For more info, head to the folloing link.

A reenactment of the circumnavigation on Australia by Flinders - in a leaky rotten vessel, with 94 people and only the basic knowledge of where he was going, little certainty that he would make it back - all at the age of 26.

Australia takes its name from names Flinders gave us, and its people - Australians -160 years before the Government was able to.

The challenges for Flinders were amazing trying to lead and motivate the crew of over 90 and Sarah found it a real challenge to work with the crew of 23.

The circumnavigation of Australia has involved a permanent crew, and volunteers that joined the ship at different ports - so each port resulted in a new crew, and a new dynamic, and a whole lot of learning.

The ship comes into Melbourne on the 3rd. To get a chance to visit the boat and perhaps see if there is a berth available for the last few legs back to Sydney, call on 0418 120 399 or 0409 961 327.

Sarah Parry and an on board biologist will be giving a presentation at Toorak College, Mt Eliza on Wednesday at 7:15. For more info call Alex Edwards on 9296 4525

A chance to get involved in the Marine parks in the city. The forum will take people through the environment and ecology in the area, and will be expanded to talk about the enforcement processes, the park management and get a better understanding of what you can and cannot do in the area.

One guest speaker is from the Ricketts Pt Marine Care, which has a very active community group, and Alex hopes to be able to stimulate that type of activity in Hobsons Bay.

The Forum will be at Williamstown High School on Friday June 13th - for an all day seminar. You need to register on 9296 4525 with Alex Edwards.

If you get thrown out of the school you will end up in the bay - the school is that close to the bay and the marine park. The highlight at present is 7 tanks holding 1.2 tonnes of water including touch tanks, and the resource is available to the community as well. The Centre is linked into the curriculum, with the syllabus linked into the bay and marine environment and study around the bay.

This campus of Willy HS is a middle school (years 7 to 9). The students in the school have really embraced the program, and if you want to find out more information, give the school a call on 93999228. Community members can visit the marine centre.

Because Brett was at the kitchen table there was not other useful info.
