Bron and Pete in the hotseat today, with Cath on the panel. Anth is having the day off, for once on the receiving end of the program.

Yesterday was the official start of the yachting season for Port Phillip Bay, so expect to see more yachts out there from here on.

This week a Victorian fisherman was fined for illegally catching freshwater fish during the closed season - fisheries officers discovered fish in a trap he had left out overnight,

The weather? Not too bad out on the water, but getting bumpier throughout the day.

Community Exhibitions Coordinator Maria Tence, from the Immigration Museum, joins us to talk about Station Pier, which turns 150 years old this year.

The Immigration Museum is celebrating this milestone with an exhibition called "Gateway to a New Life", and highlights the significance that Station Pier in the lives of the many millions of immigrants that have stepped off on to it since it was built in 1854.

Even today, 150 years later Station Pier remains important in the hearts of many immigrants, and unlike many other "entry points" throughout Australia, is still very accessible and a popular landmark for visitors and residents alike.

The exhibition features 160 objects which explore all aspects of immigration relating to Station Pier - a great excuse to get down and discover one of Melbourne's premier museums.

Marinara's resident expert joins us to talk about Australia's supposed first "lady diver" - we are treated to a snippet from 1939, where we hear about the exploits of a young woman by the name of Nancy Ellingworth, foraging around on the floor of Sydney Harbour in full diving dress, emerging to put on a fresh coat of lippy and return to being a lady in 1930s Australia.

We also delve into the history of pearling in Australia, where before the Japanese were involved in the industry, Aboriginal divers were employed to dive to depths of up to sixty feet in search of oysters.

Brett's happy! He's excited! He's seconds away from jumping into the water off the Sorrento Backbeach, where the water is calm, hopefully clear, and even gradually warming up a summer makes its way toward us.

No excuses for not getting out there somewhere today, if you are in any way underwater-minded.
