The big winds
that blow around the southern ocean make the swell that rolls into
Bells Beach. The ones that are 16 seconds apart are the best - clean
and deep. The water just goes up and down and the energy moves towards
the land. As the water gets more shallow, the energy gets compressed
and results in the waves getting taller to the point where they
break.
Kerry has toured
the world and surveyed the worlds best breaks to work out what was
needed to build a reef, and they have been doing this for a living.
Now he is doing
it in pools, and the only hard bit is getting a nice crisp wave,
but right now he has a 1/8th model that has perfect 30cm barrels.
And if you want to change the wave, just dial up a different setting
and wait a minute
