Bron and Anth are back together with stories of baby nightmares, red wine and whether their families like the show. The weather was very professional, but pretty much more of the same - no word on the community cup (but Evo does have a pact with the devil to get good weather on the day).

The stamps are the normal size - the whales are smaller ! - Australia post issued 4 new stamps last week "Whales down under" - containing whales to celebrate the start of the whale watching season and the International Whaling Commission meeting.

The four whales are the humpback, the blue whale, the fin whale and the southern bottlenose whale (about 3 times the size of its dolphin cousin). The blue and the fin are endangered, the humpback is very popular, and the bottlenose is very curious, but little is known about it.

The winter program is underway again - The Centre will be open, along with mudflat meanders, rockpool rambles (around Pt Lonsdale). The mudflat meander really gets your hands dirty with the different beasts that live there. The birds are in a feeding frenzy, and you might even got to see a banjo shark. The neat thing is that what you seen winter is different to what you see in summer!

The place is easy to find, at the narrows down to Swan bay - look for the building with the grass on the roof. The rambles and meanders are free (thanks Parks Victoria) and some of the kids activies (5 - 12yr) cost about $10. For $25 you get to take a biology cruise on the bay.

If you want to volunteer for summer (over 18 yrs) there is an information day in July at the MDC.For more information call the MDC on (03) 52583344

This is an information rich website focused on the regional managment groups - The major sections are:

This is a wonderful website for the porfessional and community groups alike.

The bay is like glass but it is really cold. But most of the conversation was about soccer.
