The winter
program is underway again - The Centre will be open, along with
mudflat meanders, rockpool rambles (around Pt Lonsdale). The mudflat
meander really gets your hands dirty with the different beasts that
live there. The birds are in a feeding frenzy, and you might even
got to see a banjo shark. The neat thing is that what you seen winter
is different to what you see in summer!
The place is
easy to find, at the narrows down to Swan bay - look for the building
with the grass on the roof. The rambles and meanders are free (thanks
Parks Victoria) and some of the kids activies (5 - 12yr) cost about
$10. For $25 you get to take a biology cruise on the bay.
If you want
to volunteer for summer (over 18 yrs) there is an information day
in July at the MDC.For more information call the MDC on (03) 52583344
